Hiking enthusiasts in and around Riverside should take the time to explore Mount Rubidoux Trail and Memorial Park. The trail is a favorite among locals, as it is a relatively short and mostly paved walk through nature that rewards hikers with a beautiful view from the summit. Points of interest along the way range from the Peace Bridge to the American Flag landmark, in addition to a large cross structure at the top of Mount Rubidoux. Mount Rubidoux is also home to the nation’s longest-running outdoor Easter gathering.

Parking spaces are ample as numerous trails surround and ascend the mountain. The main trail provides a two mile hike, while shorter one mile trails can also be taken. Despite a three to four mile round trip, first time hikers are advised to set aside up to 90 minutes for the climb, as individuals will likely want to explore the various landmarks and enjoy the view from the summit before beginning their descent.
